Just one week left to apply for Diamond Jubilee street party

Those planning street parties to celebrate the Queen’s forthcoming Diamond Jubilee have just a week to submit their applications.

The door for applications slams shut next Tuesday, May 1, for the extended bank holiday weekend celebrating the landmark in June.

Hertfordshire County Council will not be charging communities to close residential roads in the county for street parties on either Sunday 3, Monday 4 or Tuesday June 5.

Visit to County Hall

As part of the Getting Involved project you are invited to County Hall for an introduction to the County Council. 

On Thursday 17th May from 10am to 2pm
There will be a presentation from the new Chief Executive, John Wood and there will be someone from the County information unit who will share what they believe they know about St Albans and it’s communities.  You will also have the opportunity to meet and hear from your County Councillor.

St Albans church to host free community open day

A CHURCH in St Albans will throw open its doors next weekend to the public when it will offer a number of free activities - from zumba dancing and pizza making to gardening advice and the chance to swap home-grown seedlings there will be something on offer for everyone at St Paul's Church.
The community day will be held on Saturday, April 21, between 10.30am to 3.30pm, at the church in Blandford Road.
